UVA donates AED funds

October 8, 2014

The police are often the first on the scene of a cardiac arrest. Dr. Robert E. O’Connor, Professor at UVA School of Medicine and Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine, has worked with the Foundation to give 10 AED's (Automated External Defibrillators) to the CPD, along with training on how to use these devices. Thank you UVA, for continuing to invest in the well-being of our community!

"I really enjoyed hearing about everything the police do, and feel like both on a personal level and on a professional level it will help so much to understand their perspective. We are so lucky to have them. We come from all over the country over in this newsroom, and we know how good we have it with this police force. Thank you such much for treating us to an inside look at what they do!"
