National Night Out is a nationwide community building campaign that promotes police-community relations. On Tuesday, August 1st, 6-8pm, Charlottesville will be hosting its first National Night Out Event at Tonsler and Washington Parks. This national program has brought together millions of community members and police around the country to foster a sense of community, help make our neighborhoods safer places, and enhance the relationship between neighborhoods and law enforcement.
At National Night Out, neighbors can enjoy food from Mission BBQ (Washington Park) and Papa Johns (Tonsler Park), enjoy bounce houses, cotton candy, sno cones, great music, and give-aways. We will have activities for folks young and old, an opportunity to meet with your local officers, and visits from the local fire department and local government officials.
Bring your family and your neighbors to this fun evening where we will celebrate our community and continue to make Charlottesville the best place to live!
Want to show your support of this community event? Donate to our National Night Out campaign to help sponsor all the food and activities.
