Programs

• Awards Banquet. The Foundation underwrites a major annual awards dinner and ceremony to honor the police department and recognize extraordinary individual achievements. 
• Housing Assistance. The Foundation works with local banks and Realtors to provide financial and legal support to enable police officers to buy homes in the city they serve. 
• Police Grants. The Foundation makes grants, and helps to secure grants, for police equipment, training, and technologies that are beyond the reach of the city’s budget. 
• Outreach. The Foundation disseminates information and sponsors events to promote positive and productive community engagement with police. 
• Supplemental Training. In partnership with the University of Virginia and local attorneys, the Foundation provides law-related training to police officers.
